meetings during the summer.

Feb 10 2010	REGULAR MEETING STARTS AT 7:00 PM Thank you to Erika for a wonderful project
March 10th 2010	REGULAR MEETING STARTS AT 7:00 PM Connie Clark will be teaching a small still life over the next two meetings. This is not a difficult project however it requires more time to complete than the usual one hour. This is a test to include more involved projects as per the request of some of our members. The costs for paint and instruction packet for the entire project will be $4.00 This class will be taught using DecoArt Traditions Acrylics Surface size 8 x 10 You may use masonite, mdf and stretched canvas. Sealed matt board may also be used however keep in mind we will be using Extender and Blending Medium and the matt board needs to be thoroughly sealed. Preparation Correctly sand and seal according to the surface you will be using. Basecoat using a dark green to within two and a half inches from the bottom. Basecoat the remainder of the board with an off white . Please bring to class Tracing Paper ,Graphite Paper, Flat and Filbert brushes as well as a small mop brush. A small container to hold extender, paper towels and a wet palette if you have one. The first class we will work on the form of the little pitcher and the second class we will paint the small flower on the pitcher. Below is a photo of the setup which we will be painting. .

A variety of liner brushes Shaders or angle brushes 1/2", 3/4" Soft eraser/ Kneadable eraser Stylus Small filbert rake or comb brush Paper Towels Grey Graphite-Transfer paper Paint palette The card kit with the background wash applied is available for $2.00 from Jan It includes the pattern already on tracing paper. You will be required to trace the design onto the card. Jan will supply the paints. Please call or email Jan to Pre-order your card so I know how many to make up.
